Fine Art Trade Guild
The Fine Art Trade Guild, founded in 1910, has consistently maintained high standards for prints, modernising these benchmarks for the digital age through its ArtSure scheme. The Guild's scope extends beyond prints, as it also establishes norms and guidelines for picture framing and Mountboard for quality standards. With over a hundred years of experience in print registrations, the Guild's Original Art Register provides a platform for artists, photographers, and designers to both showcase and protect their artwork.
The Guild has developed a range of framing levels, from the ultimate level designed for preserving the most valuable items, to the basic level suitable for items like posters. These levels were created to guide framers in advising their customers on the most appropriate methods and materials for framing and mounting their art and memorabilia. This ensures that every piece of art, regardless of its value, is treated with the care and respect it deserves.
