Mike Page Aerial Photography
Mike Page's journey into the world of photography began during his school days when he joined the Photography Club. His passion for photography took a new turn when he learned to fly a decade later, allowing him to venture into aerial photography. He began documenting both industrial and natural changes in his native Norfolk landscape, always using Canon cameras and lenses. In recent times, Mike has shifted his focus entirely to digital photography.
Over the years, Mike has amassed a vast collection of photographs, both old and new, which have enabled him to document the dramatic coastal erosion, coastal drift, and the unique characteristics of the entire stretch of the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline. His latest book features photographs of historic buildings, villages, wind farms, monastic ruins, new housing developments, cliff falls, harbours, windmills, beaches, sand dunes, industrial scenes, and nature reserves. He has a particular fondness for capturing the changing cloud formations, the effects of wind on wave patterns in sand at various states of the tide, and the extraordinary colours and textures of salt marshes, the last natural wildernesses.
